This Privacy Policy (here in after referred to as the “Policy”) is intended to explain how AIPodifry (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects the personal data of users (hereinafter referred to as “you” or “users”) who access or use our website (https://aipodifry.net/) and AI podcast generation services (collectively, the “Services”).

We collect personal data only to the extent necessary to provide and improve the Services, in accordance with the principle of data minimization. The personal data we may collect includes the following:

(1) Data You Voluntarily Provide

Data that you voluntarily submit or authorize us to collect when using the Services, including but not limited to:

  • Account-related data:
    Your associated email address obtained through Google login authorization (used solely for account creation, identity verification, and login purposes; we do not collect any other information from your Google account);
  • Podcast content data:
    Text, documents (such as PDF files), or web links that you voluntarily upload for podcast generation (core data required for the Services and used to convert content into podcast scripts and audio);
  • Clipboard information:
    When you use the “Share” feature, we temporarily collect clipboard information solely for copying podcast sharing links. We do not store any other clipboard content, and the information is released immediately after use.

(2) Data Automatically Collected

During your use of the Services, we automatically collect certain data through technical means, including:

  • Technical and device data:
    Device model, operating system (OS), browser type, screen resolution, internet service provider (ISP), device ID (non-unique identifier, used only for device compatibility optimization), etc.;
  • Location and usage behavior data:
    Your country (determined based on IP address and used only for regional service optimization), feature access records (such as the number of times the “Generate Podcast” or “Share” features are used), operation paths (such as records of workflows including file upload → script editing → audio generation), and usage duration (including session duration and feature usage time);
  • Log data:
    IP address, access timestamps, request types (such as API call records), and error logs (such as records of upload failures or audio generation errors, used for troubleshooting and service improvement).
  • If you choose to make a purchase on our website, you may purchase our Services through online payment methods, such as membership purchases or subscriptions;

We only request device permissions in specific scenarios and do not obtain any permissions beyond what is necessary for the Services:

We process your personal data solely for the following specific and explicit purposes, and will not use it for any other purpose or scope without your consent:

  • Account Creation and Verification: Using the email address associated with Google to create your account, ensure the uniqueness of login identity, and prevent unauthorized access;
  • Provision of Core Services: Analyzing the text/documents/links you upload to generate podcast scripts, and converting the scripts into audio (relying on third-party models);
  • Product Optimization and User Experience Improvement: Adapting device data for compatibility across different terminals, and optimizing feature logic based on usage behavior (e.g., simplifying the podcast generation workflow);
  • Issue Troubleshooting and Customer Support: Using error logs to identify service issues and communicating solutions with you via your account email;
  • Support for Sharing Features: Temporarily reading the clipboard to enable quick copying of podcast links, improving content sharing convenience.

For users in the European Union / European Economic Area, we process your data based on the following legal grounds (as applicable):

  • Consent: For non-essential processing (such as collection of clipboard information and use of cookies). You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Sections 8 and 10);
  • Performance of a Contract: To fulfill the service contract with you (such as generating podcasts based on your uploaded content and maintaining normal account usage);
  • Legitimate Interests: To improve service stability (such as analyzing error logs to fix bugs) and optimize user experience (such as adapting device data for different terminals), provided that your privacy rights are not adversely affected;
  • Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable overseas regulatory requirements (such as retaining necessary logs for compliance audits).

To ensure the provision of platform services, we may cooperate with third-party service providers and integrate third-party services into the Services (as described below). We do not share the personal information you provide to us, or that we collect from you, with third-party service providers, nor do we collect personal information on behalf of third-party service providers.

We carefully evaluate the purposes for which third-party service providers use data, conduct comprehensive assessments of their security capabilities, and require them to comply with the applicable contractual agreements. When there is no ongoing legitimate business need for processing your personal information, we will delete or anonymize such information. If this is not immediately possible (for example, because your personal information is stored in backup archives), we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is feasible.

  • Right of Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we have collected about you, including your account email, history of uploaded content, and other related information.

  • Right to Rectification: If your account email, personal preferences (such as default audio format), or other information are inaccurate or incomplete, you may request corrections. We will complete the rectification within 15 business days.

  • Right to Erasure (Including Account Deletion): You have the right to request the deletion of your data. This includes two types of requests:

    1. Deletion of Historical Content: You may request the deletion of specific uploaded documents or generated audio. We will complete the deletion from our servers within 15 business days.
    2. Account Deletion: You may request the deletion of your entire account. We will delete all data associated with the account, including account information, content data, and usage logs, within 15 business days.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: If you question the accuracy of your personal data we store, you may request a temporary suspension of its processing, such as stopping the use of your usage behavior data for product optimization.

  • Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request that your content data (such as generated podcast scripts or audio files) be exported to other services. We will provide files in standardized formats to support data transfer.

  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent for cookie usage or clipboard data collection at any time. Withdrawal can be done through browser settings or by contacting customer support. This will not affect the lawful processing of data conducted prior to your withdrawal based on your consent.

  • Exceptions: If data processing is necessary to comply with legal obligations (e.g., retaining logs for regulatory audits) or to protect public interests (e.g., investigating malicious attacks), we may refuse your request and provide an explanation.

12. Privacy of Minors

We take the protection of minors’ personal information very seriously. Our Services are primarily intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover that personal information from a minor has been collected without verifiable parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information as soon as possible.

We will not reduce the rights you are entitled to under the currently effective Privacy Policy without your explicit consent.
